We adopted Petunia in the fall of 2009 as our first pet. She was a “long term resident” at the humaine society, which touched our hearts. She was affectionate, vocal, and wanted nothing more than to be on our laps (especially when reading or typing). While she had kidney disease, she still had the energy and personality of a healthy cat almost to the end. Now that she’s gone, the house feels somewhat empty. It’s amazing how a pet can fill your life in unexpected ways. We miss you Petunia.
